THE ARMY CADET FORCE (ACF) is one of the UK’s oldest, largest and most successful youth organisations. Consisting of more than 47,000 cadets in around 1,700 local detachments across the country, the ACF helps young people between the ages of 12 and 18 develop both personally and physically by providing a range of opportunities, challenges and activities.

If your aged between 12 (in academic year 8) and 18 then you could. All you have to do is accept the challenge and visit one of our 40 detachments across Beds & Herts.

Our action packed program will see that every cadet gets the chance to learn to shoot, map read, shelter build, survive in the field, experience adventure training, try new sports and loads more!

We always have space in our large family for new recruits, to start gaining new skills, new qualifications, making new friends and memories visit us today.

Adult Instructors from Beds & Herts Army Cadets Want to Join the ACF as an Adult Volunteer?

The Army Cadet Force relies almost entirely on its large bank of dedicated volunteers to keep us doing what we do best.

We always have vacancies for new volunteer instructors, as well as for volunteers who want to give their time to the ACF in a non military manner as a Civilian Assistant.
